Joni Raikaslehto InFusion’s debut album “Prog Fu!” has now reached all the major streaming platforms around the globe for Your listening pleasure!
The album’s four lengthy tunes we’re written all the way back in 2013-2015 by the groups fearless leader (composer/arranger, bassist) Joni Raikaslehto, just waiting for the perfect opportunity to gather together a group of highly talented musical individuals to capture this rather unusual but vivid vision on a recording.
The music combines influences from the mechanically “perfect” fusion stylings of the iconic Chick Corea Elektric Band, the catchy yet engaging positive jazz/funk vibes of japanese fusion legend Casiopea and the otherworldly & moody textures from the Finnish progressive/jazz bassist/composer Pekka Pohjola. These components mixed together with the sounds of ps1 era videogame music creates the foundation for the distinct jazz/fusion sound of Joni Raikaslehto InFusion.
The album was recorded in a studiolive session between April 23-25th 2021 at Tuborg Studio in Esbjerg Denmark.
